Now I noticed that the 2 clips I downloaded from Youtube are in Progressive form rather than interlace, and one of those is the first track on the disk. When I put my edited (MPEG 2) disk in the player it insists it is NTSC. After clipping almost every spare second between songs, and opting for no title screen, I finally got all the songs to fit on one disk - success, I thought. With the help of DVD-shrink I put the all the material into PowerDirector 9 and arranged it into chronological order, confirming with the requester that I really did want them to be PAL. I decided to make my one dvd, including all the tracks, in PAL. On top of this, a couple of newly discovered clips of the band have been released on Youtube. This wouldn't be a problem except my Panasonic recorder/dvd player will not automatically change to NTSC if you have programmed it to record anything on TV - as it "will not work in both modes at the same time", so I have to fiddle with the menus whenever I want to watch this dvd. A little while back, a dvd set came out of my favourite band (Free) and I noticed that the disks were NTSC.
